1. WHO WE ARE

1.1 GIP

Green Infrastructure Partners Inc. (“GIP”), “us”, “we”, or “our”), includes GIP Paving Inc. (formerly Coco Paving Inc.), as well as predecessor companies GFL Infrastructure Group Inc., and the infrastructure business of Ground Force Environmental Corp., as well as all of GIP’s operating divisions, subsidiaries and affiliated entities, GIP operates https://www.gipi.com (the “Site”). This document is to inform you of our Policy regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information (as defined below) that we may receive from users of the Site.

By using the Site, you are hereby agreeing to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree to the Policy, please do not use the Site.

2. INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

2.1 ONLINE USERS

While using our Site, you may be asked to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, which may include information such as your name and email address (“Personal Information”) for purposes such as completing a registration form, subscribing to email notifications, providing us with feedback, responding to a survey, sending us an email, requesting information on products, or similar type uses. This is not intended as an exhaustive list of the reasons for which we may collect and use your Personal Information.  We only collect the Personal Information that you have voluntarily disclosed to us. If you do not wish for us to have certain Personal Information, please do not provide it to us. Personal Information does not include information about an organization, such as a business. 

We, our suppliers, and other third parties to whom we disclose information under this Policy, may perform activities outside of Canada (including, without limitation, the United States), as a result, your information may be securely used, stored, or accessed in those countries and be subject to the laws of those countries.

The Personal Information that you provide to us will be used for the following purposes:

  • To improve our Site;
  • To deliver a customized experience;
  • To deliver information relating to products or services offered by us;
  • To respond to any inquiries that you may make through our Site;
  • To send you information updates, newsletters, and marketing or other promotional materials that you have requested by opting in to our mailing list.

We will not sell, trade or rent the Personal Information that you are providing to us.

2.2 CHILDREN

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of thirteen (13). If you are under the age of thirteen (13), please do not submit any Personal Information through our Site. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and help enforce this Policy by instructing your children never to provide Personal Information without your express permission.

2.3 COOKIES AND LOG DATA

Like many Sites, we use “Cookies” to collect general information. Cookies are files with small amounts of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier and often improve your browsing experience by saving certain information or your personal preferences. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and are stored on your computer’s hard drive. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Site or your access to and navigation of our Site may be slower than normal.

Additionally, like many other site operators, we also collect the information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

2.4 UPDATING CORRECTING OR DELETING PERSONAL INFORMATION

You can request access to your Personal Information being stored by us. You can also ask us to correct, update, or delete any inaccurate Personal Data that we possess about you.

If you require access to your Personal Information that we hold about you or require any Personal Information to be updated, corrected, or deleted, please send an email to info@gipi.com with the details of your request. We will consider and respond to all requests in accordance with the applicable law(s) and regulations.

2.5 SECURITY

The security of your Personal Information is extremely important to us and we take it seriously. Although we have security precautions in place to protect your Personal Information, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or any method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we, therefore, cannot guarantee absolute security. We strongly recommend that you never share your passwords with anyone and that you always log out and close your browser once you leave our Site. Additionally, we strongly recommend that you do not use the same password for our Site that you use for any website dealing with your banking or other sensitive personal information.

2.6 RETAINING PERSONAL INFORMATION

We retain your Personal Information for the longer of either: (a) you maintaining a User Profile with us; or (b) the length of time prescribed or required by applicable law(s) and regulations. You may close your User Profile by contacting us. However, we may retain your Personal Information for an additional period if permitted or required under applicable law(s) or regulations. Please be advised that even if we delete your Personal Information, it may still exist on backup or archival media for an additional period of time for legal, tax, or regulator reasons or for legitimate and lawful business reasons.

3.0 THIRD-PARTY CONNECTIONS

This Policy applies only to our Site. Our Site may contain links to other websites that are not operated or controlled by us (“Third Party Sites”). These policies and procedures do not apply to the Third-Party Sites. The links from our Site do not imply that we endorse or have reviewed the Third-Party Sites. We recommend contacting those Third Party Sites directly for information on their privacy policies.

4.0 HOW WE DISCLOSE AND TRANSFER YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We may transfer Personal Information to one or more outside service providers who provide services on our behalf such as internet intrusion detection services, firewalls, data and backup management, and hosting or similar services. You agree to us sharing your Personal Information with such outside service providers. 

4.1 NO SALE

We will not sell or trade the Personal Information that you are providing to us.

4.2 AGGREGATED PERSONAL DATA

From time to time we may also use third-party data processing services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze information provided to us by you, however, these third-party services will only be provided with certain aggregated anonymous data and will not include Personal Information which could be used to identify you.

4.3 PARENT COMPANIES, SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES

We may share your Personal Information with our subsidiaries and/or affiliates for purposes consistent with this Policy. Our parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliates will be bound to maintain that Personal Information in accordance with this Policy.

4.4 LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

We reserve the right to access and disclose Personal Information if required to do so in order to respond to a subpoena or request from law enforcement, a court or government agency, or in good faith, believe that such action is necessary to: (a) comply with a legal obligation; (b) protect or defend our rights, interests or property or that of third parties; (c) prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing (d) act in urgent circumstances to protect personal safety; or (e) protect against legal liability.

 5.0 CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY

This Policy is effective as of July 1, 2022 and may be updated from time to time. Any changes or modifications to the Policy will be posted on our Site and will become effective as of their posting.

We reserve the right to update or change our Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically to obtain a current copy of this Policy. Your continued use of the Site after we post any modifications to the Policy will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to the terms and conditions of our modified Policy.

If we make any material changes to this Policy, we will notify you by placing a prominent notice on our Site.
